Motion Designer: Photoshop-to-After Effects Specialist

HAUS is looking for a skilled Freelance Motion Design Artist with a strong command of taking high-end, professionally finished Photoshop artwork and translating it seamlessly into After Effects for dynamic animation and visual storytelling. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the Photoshop-to-After Effects pipeline, with a sharp eye for design, motion, and detail.

Proficiency in After Effects and Photoshop is essential, and experience with the broader Adobe Creative Suite is highly valued. Familiarity with Cinema 4D is a strong plus but not a necessity. Additional experience in motion graphics, keying and compositing, typography design, rotoscoping, and visual effects will set candidates apart.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Animate layered Photoshop artwork within After Effects with precision and creativity
    • Maintain clean and efficient workflows between Photoshop and After Effects
    • Work collaboratively with design and post teams to bring static visuals to life
    • Contribute motion design expertise across a variety of media formats
    • Support projects with additional VFX, rotoscoping, and compositing as needed

Requirements

    • Expert-level knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop
    • Strong understanding of design principles and motion animation
    • Solid experience with the Photoshop-to-After Effects workflow
    • Requited; Must have an understanding of Photoshop's animation pipeline
    • Bonus: Familiarity with Cinema 4D and broader Adobe Creative Suite
    • Bonus: Experience with keying, compositing, VFX, rotoscoping, and animated typography

You must be located in Los Angeles, as this role requires you to work in the office for certain projects. To be considered for this position, you need to be available to work on-site. Submissions that include a portfolio will be prioritized.
