Fantastic Beasts

AT&T

This Snapchat lens puts you on the front page of the Daily Prophet.

Lens

HAUS was invited by AT&T and The Collective to take a step into the Wizarding World in creating a face lens for the latest installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise, The Crimes of Grindelwald. The lens features a clever cinematic introduction where the frame begins to flash with rain and lightning as the camera slowly pulls out to reveal you as an auror (think magical detective) on the front page of The Daily Prophet— the Wizarding World's most well-known publication.

Extra, extra!

Take a step into the Wizarding World.

Of course in the Wizarding World, even newspaper photographs have life, movement and magic. In the Snapchat version, the user can tap the screen which causes a hand with a wand to whip into view, conjuring a quick spell to change your accessories. Switch between a pair of magical hats, glasses and even a bowtie complete with golden stars.

Users experienced the lens in AT&T stores throughout the country as part of in-store displays that featured characters and elements from The Crimes of Grindelwald. Potterheads will recognize the name of the lens (Alohomora) as the spell in the Wizarding World that unlocks doors. We think it also works well to unlock a really neat Snapchat lens!
